Indications & Dose: ANGINA Chronic PO Adult 500mg BID max 1g BID Elderly Initiate low dose |
Contra: Strong CYP3A inhibitors & inducers, hepatic impairment
Precautions: mild-to-moderate hepatic impairment, elderly, renal impairment, history of malignant neoplasms, history of adenomatous polyps, QT prolongers ADR: Serious: Orthostatic hypotension, QT prolongation, syncope, bradycardia, peripheral edema, dyspnea, hematuria, paresthesia, tinnitus, Others: dizziness, headache, constipation, vertigo, dry mouth, abdominal pain, vomiting, blurred vision DDI: Serious Corticosteroids/Amphotericin-B/Laxatives/Loop diuretics/Thiazides causes hypokalemia, HIV protease inhibitors increases drug level leads to QT interval prolongation, Verapamil/Diltiazem increases risk of adverse effects of drug, Ciclosporin/Atorvastatin/Digoxin/Lovastatin/Simvastatin levels increases, Azoles raises drug level, Phenobarbital/Carbamazepine/Phenytoin/Rifabutin/Rifampicin reduces drug level Diet: With/without food Monitor: ECG, BP |
