The cardiac axis is the resultant direction of the flow of current of depolarization through the heart.
- The normal axis of heart is the range from –30 degree to +90 degree,
- In Heart with normal axis Lead I and Lead III will have positive QRS, in Left Axis Deviation Lead I will have negative QRS,
- Cardiovascular System examination, cardiac disorders
- While in right axis Deviation Lead I will have negative QRS and Lead III will have positive QRS.
The cardiac axis Right Axis Deviation
- As in image these axis are approaching toward each other,
Causes of Right Axis Deviation —
- RVA ( right ventricular hypertrophy )
- RBB ( right bundel branch block )
- Emphysema,
- and in Normal persons ,
Treatment of Right Axis Deviation —
- Normal condition it dose not require no treatment only evaluation,
The cardiac axis Left Axis Deviation
- As in image these axis are leaving each other,
Causes of Left Deviation —
- LVH ( left ventricular hypertrophy ),
- IHD ( ischemic heart disease ),
- Hyperkalemia,
Treatment of Left Axis Deviation —
- Normal condition it dose not require no treatment only evaluation,
