Indications & Dose: CONGENITAL ADRENAL HYPERPLASIA PO Adult 0.5–5mg/day | IV/IM Adult Inj/Inf 4–20mg, repeat up to 4 times in 24h Child Inj/Inf: <1 yr: 1mg, 1–5 yr: 2mg, 6–12 yr: 4mg, repeat up to 4 times in 24h according to response | EYE INFLAMMATION Short-term therapy TP Adult Instill drops q1–2h until controlled, then reduce frequency, apply ointment 2–4 times/day or HS when used with eye drops | INFLAMMATION & ECZEMA IN OTITIS EXTERNA TP General Ear: Apply 2–3 drops q2–3h; reduce frequency when relief obtained | INFLAMMATORY CONDITIONS OF NOSE NSL General 2–3 drops (0.1%) into each nostril BIDNon-infected nose | INFLAMMATORY SKIN CONDITIONS Severe TP Adult Apply sparingly to the affected area, 1–2 times/day until improvement occurs, then reduce the frequency Child >2 yr: Apply sparingly to the affected area, 1–2 times/day until improvement occurs, then reduce the frequencyDermatitis, eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, lichen planus & intractable pruritus, psoriasis of the scalp, hands & feet | OSTEOARTHRITIS IL Adult Very large joints: 1-2 mL, Large joints: 1 mL, Medium joints: 0.5-1 mL, Small joints: 0.25-0.5 mL | RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS IL Adult Very large joints: 1-2 mL, Large joints: 1 mL, Medium joints: 0.5-1 mL, Small joints: 0.25-0.5 mL |

Precautions: GI diseases, CVD, DM, cataracts & glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, MI, osteoporosis, history of seizure, thyroid disease, hepatic/renal impairment ADR: Serious: CHF, edema, hypotension, HTN, Cushing’s syndrome, DM, pituitary-adrenal axis suppression, arthralgia, necrosis, myopathy, osteoporosis, cataracts, glaucoma, hypersensitivity, Others: secondary infect, allergic dermatitis, burning, dry skin, hypertrichosis, pruritus, skin atrophy, endocrine & metabolic effects, growth suppression, amenorrhea, hyperglycemia, hypokalemia, menstrual irregularities, protein catabolism, sodium & water retention, muscle atrophy, muscle weakness, hirsutism, wound healing impaired, abdominal distention, PUD, pancreatitis, ulcerative esophagitis, sterile abscess DDI: Serious Aspirin decreases drug levels, Ritonavir increases drug levels, Ciclosporin leads to osteonecrosis, Midazolam metabolism increased, Vecuronium neuromuscular-blocking effects is antagonised by drug Diet: With food Monitor: Growth in children |
