Description of Nephrotic syndrome
Nephrotic syndrome is a disorder of the kidney characterized by too much protein in the urine, low albumin levels in the blood and swelling in legs, feet and ankles. It may be caused due to disease of the kidney like focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, minimal -change nephropathy, etc. or due to diseases affecting the body like diabetes, lupus, etc. In this condition the small blood vessels in the kidneys are damaged.
